Senators Recall Dennis Gilbert After Chabot Placed on IR

The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenseman Dennis Gilbert from AHL Belleville after Thomas Chabot was placed on injured reserve. Gilbert, re-acquired from Philadelphia, recently returned from a knee injury on November 22, tallying three assists in three AHL games. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound blueliner has 3 goals and 20 points in 111 career NHL games and is expected to provide size and physicality, offering an alternative to Brady Tkachuk for physical play.
