Blue Jackets' Marchenko Skating, Targeting Thursday Return

Kirill Marchenko (upper body) is now skating independently, as reported by Aaron Portzline of The Athletic. The Blue Jackets forward is expected to skate again Sunday but will not participate in team practice. Marchenko is on track to miss his fourth consecutive game Monday against New Jersey but could return for Thursday's clash with Detroit. The 25-year-old has recorded eight goals and 22 points in 22 appearances this season. His return might impact Luca Pinelli's spot on the top six.
