Goaltender Chris Driedger Leaves KHL, Eyes Potential Jets Return
Goaltender Chris Driedger has mutually terminated his KHL contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk, potentially paving the way for a return to the Winnipeg Jets organization. The Jets, who retained his NHL rights, are facing a 4-6 week absence for Connor Hellebuyck. Driedger, 31-24-5 with a .917 SV% in 67 NHL games, could be assigned to the AHL's Manitoba Moose as insurance. In 23 KHL games this season, he posted an 8-9-1 record with a 3.05 GAA and .917 SV%.
