Werenski Sustains Upper-Body Injury, Day-to-Day for Blue Jackets

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski sustained an upper-body injury during Monday's game against the Capitals, forcing him to exit the contest and not return for the third period. The star blueliner logged four shots on goal and one block in 17:36 of ice time prior to his departure. Werenski is currently considered day-to-day, creating a potential void on Columbus' blue line. His status remains uncertain ahead of Wednesday's home matchup versus the Maple Leafs.
