Marchenko Suffers Muscle Tightness, Out for Monday's Game

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko will miss Monday's game against Washington after an undisclosed muscle tightened up during the morning skate. The team does not anticipate a long-term injury, with further evaluation scheduled for Tuesday upon their return to Columbus. Marchenko, 25, has recorded 8 goals, 22 points, 65 shots, 15 blocked shots, and 19 hits in 22 appearances this season. His absence will see Yegor Chinakhov move into the top six and Zach Aston-Reese likely occupy a fourth-line role.
