Florian Xhekaj Recalled to Canadiens, Set for NHL Debut Amidst Injuries

Florian Xhekaj has been recalled from the Laval Rocket to the Montreal Canadiens, with his NHL debut anticipated due to mounting injuries, including Jake Evans' recent high hit. The 21-year-old forward, who previously scored alongside his brother Arber in a preseason game, brings an energetic and challenging game. Xhekaj has recorded four points (two goals) in 16 AHL games this season, following a 24-goal campaign last year, and is known for his high penalty minutes (44 PIM this year), aiming to provide an emotional boost.
