McMichael records three assists in win over Oilers

Connor McMichael, the 24-year-old center, recorded three assists, two hits, two blocked shots, and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Oilers. He won the battle of the Connors against McDavid, who only managed two assists. McMichael is currently on a modest three-game point streak, accumulating a goal and six points, though he is having trouble maintaining the pace from his breakout 2024-25 campaign. Through 20 games in 2025-26, he has two goals and 10 points. He signed a two-year, $4.2 million contract with the Capitals in July of 2024.
