Alex DeBrincat Named NHL's Second Star of the Week Amidst Scoring Surge

Detroit Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat has been named the NHL's Second Star of the Week for the period ending November 16, 2025, after a remarkable scoring surge. Following an early-season 'snakebitten' period, DeBrincat has found his rhythm, tallying five goals and one assist for six points in his last three games, including back-to-back two-goal performances. He scored Detroit's opening goal in their 2-1 win against the New York Rangers on Sunday and contributed two goals in the Red Wings' offensive breakout against the Ducks on November 13. The 26-year-old, in his third season with the Red Wings, is currently on pace to match his 39-goal total from the 2024-25 campaign.
