Brandt Clarke Poised for Increased Role with Kings Following Doughty Injury

Brandt Clarke, a defenseman for the Los Angeles Kings, has shown a mix of hot and cold offensive production this season, mirroring his 2024-25 campaign. Through 19 contests, he has registered two goals, seven points, 37 shots on target, and 24 blocks. Clarke's ice time has recently increased, logging over 20 minutes in his last two games. He is expected to see further increased usage following Drew Doughty's lower-body injury sustained in Saturday's 1-0 win over Ottawa. While a spot on the top power-play unit could provide an offensive boost, the Kings often deploy five forwards in 5-on-4 situations. Despite this, Clarke is considered a solid pickup, especially with Los Angeles playing four games this week.
