Steven Stamkos Faces Nightmarish Start with Predators, Sparks Trade Speculation

Steven Stamkos is experiencing a difficult start to the 2025-26 NHL season with the Nashville Predators, a stark contrast to his prolific career scoring record. In his first 18 games, the 35-year-old forward has managed only three goals and one assist, projecting a pace of just 14 goals over an 82-game season. Stamkos is actively working to maintain optimism, acknowledging the unhelpfulness of negative self-talk. However, this significant drop in production has already led to speculation that the Predators might explore trading him, hoping a change of scenery could revitalize his performance.
