Conor Garland Reaches 500 Career NHL Games Milestone with Vancouver Canucks
Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland is set to play his 500th career NHL game on Tuesday night, marking a significant milestone for the 29-year-old. Drafted 123rd overall in 2015 by the Arizona Coyotes, Garland's journey includes a stellar QMJHL career where he became the Moncton Wildcats' all-time points leader, an AHL All-Star nod, and a Bronze Medal with Team USA in 2021. He joined the Canucks via a trade in July 2021, subsequently signing a five-year, $4.95 million AAV extension that extends until 2032. Garland has since tallied 207 points in 335 games for Vancouver, earning praise from Head Coach Adam Foote for his resilience, competitive drive, and emerging leadership. He is notably the 68th fifth-round pick and 41st Massachusetts-born player to reach 500 NHL games.
