Hertl and Barbashev Score Late, But Golden Knights Fall to Panthers

Tomas Hertl and Ivan Barbashev scored in the third period, both goals bringing the Vegas Golden Knights within one goal of the Florida Panthers, but the team ultimately lost its third straight home game. Rookie Carl Lindbom made 17 saves in net for the Golden Knights, facing a tough slate of opponents including the Panthers, Colorado, and Tampa Bay twice in his early starts. Despite facing former Vezina winners, Lindbom has received an average of only two goals of support per game. The Golden Knights' second-period struggles continued, and their power play went 0 for 3, now standing at 3 of 29 in their last nine games. Vegas will conclude their homestand against the New York Islanders.
