Gavin Brindley Ends Avalanche Overtime Curse with First Career Game-Winning Goal

Gavin Brindley emerged as the hero for the Colorado Avalanche, scoring in overtime to secure a dramatic 5-4 victory over Vancouver and officially terminate the team's five-game overtime losing streak. Brindley's goal, his first career game-winning goal, came after he carried the puck up the ice, fired a shot, and then capitalized on a misplayed rebound by the opposing goaltender. Earlier in the third period, Brindley also drew a holding penalty on Tom Willander, further contributing to the Avalanche's efforts throughout the game.
