Jakub Dobes Set to Start for Canadiens Against Devils, Eyeing Continued Workload

Jakub Dobes is slated to be in net for the Montreal Canadiens when they face the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night. This start will bring him to an equal number of games played this season compared to Samuel Montembeault, establishing a 1A/1B goaltending dynamic, which is not seen as a problem or controversy. The decision for Dobes to start follows the Canadiens' recent loss, despite Montembeault's admirable bounce-back performance in their last game. If Dobes delivers another strong performance and contributes to a victory, he is also expected to start on Saturday night at the Bell Center against the Utah Mammoth, a team against whom Montembeault has a less favorable record (1-0-1 with a 2.89 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage).
