K'Andre Miller Remains Sidelined for Hurricanes, Nearing Return from Lower-Body Injury
Carolina Hurricanes defenseman K'Andre Miller will not play against his former team, the New York Rangers, on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old suffered a lower-body injury on October 20 against the Vegas Golden Knights and was subsequently placed on injured reserve on October 31. This IR move was procedural, made to accommodate Pyotr Kochetkov on the roster. Miller has missed the Hurricanes' last five games. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour expressed initial hope for Miller to travel with the team but confirmed he won't play, though he doesn't expect the defenseman to be sidelined for much longer. Miller joined Carolina during the offseason via a sign-and-trade, securing an eight-year, $60 million contract.
