Axel Sandin-Pellikka Calls First NHL Goal "Unbelievable" in Red Wings' Fourth Straight Win

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Axel Sandin-Pellikka celebrated a significant milestone on October 18, 2025, netting his first career NHL goal against Andrei Vasilevskiy during the opening period of a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, which the Red Wings won for their fourth consecutive victory. The Swedish-born rookie described the feeling as "unbelievable" and "hard to describe," noting he saw a lane and just got the puck on net. As one of three rookies on the roster, he looks forward to playing against formidable opponents like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, stating he'll be "a bit more cautious" but sees it as a "fun challenge."
