Alex Ovechkin Nears 900 Career Goals, Set for Historic Frozen Frenzy Night

Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin is on the cusp of another historic NHL milestone, needing only one more goal to become the first player ever to reach 900 career goals. This achievement follows his surpassing Wayne Gretzky for the most goals in NHL history during the 2024-25 season. The potential for Ovechkin's 900th goal is a major highlight for the NHL's third annual Frozen Frenzy on Tuesday night, a key focus for experts like SportsLine's Matt Severance, who has a strong track record in NHL betting.
