Kris Bubic Identified as Free Agent Rotation Target for Nationals

Left-hander Kris Bubic is viewed as a high-upside target for the Washington Nationals this offseason. After posting a 3.76 ERA with 55 strikeouts across 14 appearances (9 starts) for Kansas City and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2026, the 29-year-old offers versatility as both a starter and long reliever. Despite an extensive injury history including 2023 Tommy John surgery and recent elbow trouble, ESPN projects Bubic could command a two-year, $18 million contract on the market.
