Alex McCoy Launches 503-Foot Blast in AFL Home Run Derby

San Diego Padres No. 26 prospect Alex McCoy turned heads at the Arizona Fall League Home Run Derby at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona, launching a massive 503-foot home run in the first round. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Peoria Javelinas outfielder finished with seven home runs in the opening round before being eliminated 12-7 by eventual champion Aaron Parker. While high strikeout numbers remain a focus for growth, McCoy continues to draw attention for his elite power potential.
