John Gibson Sidelined for Second Straight Game Due to Lower-Body Injury

Detroit Red Wings goaltender John Gibson will remain out for Saturday's contest against the Colorado Avalanche, marking his second consecutive missed game due to a lower-body injury. Gibson has struggled in 11 appearances during the 2026-27 season, posting a 4-5-1 record, a 3.46 goals-against average, and an .860 save percentage. In his absence, Daniil Tarasov handles starting duties with Michal Postava serving as the backup.
