Martin Necas Reaches 100-Point Milestone Under Jared Bednar

Colorado Avalanche forward Martin Necas credited head coach Jared Bednar for helping him develop into a complete 200-foot player. Bednar urged Necas to utilize his explosive shot more aggressively, attack dirty areas of the ice, and improve defensively. The adjustments paid off as Necas produced a career-best season, scoring 38 goals and 62 assists for 100 points while becoming a more dangerous net-front goal scorer.
