Marcus Smart Delivers Strong Perimeter Shooting in Early Rockets Stint

Houston Rockets guard Marcus Smart is making a noticeable impact early in the season after signing a $6,064,000 contract. Through roughly one-tenth of the schedule, Smart is averaging 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 44.2% from the field and 38.7% from three-point range. Highlighted by a 24-point, seven-three-pointer performance against the Thunder, his veteran presence and defense remain key despite missing time with an injury.
