Tom Wilson Ejected for Boarding Hit in Capitals Win Over Florida

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson was ejected in the first period of Saturday's 4-3 win against Florida after delivering a boarding hit on Sandis Vilmanis that knocked him head-first into the glass. Vilmanis did not return. Wilson was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct, allowing Florida to score on the extended power play. Wilson, who has a history of NHL suspensions, left Washington shorthanded before the Capitals rallied in the second.
