Jackson Appel Stymied by Injury in 2026 Campaign for High-A Winston-Salem
Chicago White Sox catcher prospect Jackson Appel was limited to just 21 games during the 2026 season after landing on the injured list in April with an undisclosed injury. Returning for High-A Winston-Salem in late July, the 25-year-old switch-hitter struggled to a .190/.329/.259 slash line with one home run, five RBIs, and 12 walks over 58 at-bats. Appel will look for a healthy 2027 campaign to resume his progress.
