Rockets Guard Amen Thompson Struggles Early With Role Whiplash and Efficiency

Houston Rockets guard Amen Thompson is off to a sluggish start this season, highlighted by a -1.0 net rating on the floor compared to +34.7 off it. Thompson is shooting just 22.2% from three-point range and has yet to make a midrange field goal. Additionally, his defensive playmaking has dipped to career lows of 1.2 steals and 0.2 blocks per game. Analysts suggest role whiplash may be causing his lost confidence on the offensive end.
