Jacob Young Signs Four-Year Extension With Nationals

Center fielder Jacob Young and the Washington Nationals avoided arbitration by agreeing to a four-year, $23 million contract extension that includes an $8 million club option for 2031. The 27-year-old outfielder is considered one of MLB's premier defensive center fielders and is coming off a career-best offensive season in 2026, during which he slashed .252/.318/.390 with 10 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
