Fernando Cruz Earns B- Grade After Injury-Cut 2026 Season

Fernando Cruz received a B- grade for his 2026 season with the Yankees, which was cut short by a partial tear of his right ulnar collateral ligament. Before a late-season swoon and August injury, Cruz dominated out of the bullpen with a 3.13 ERA and an elite splitter generating a 52% whiff rate. Opting for a non-surgical rehab approach, he ultimately landed on the 60-day IL in September. The arbitration-eligible reliever faces an important offseason decision regarding his elbow health.
