Alec Bohm Enters Free Agency After Phillies Decline Offer

Alec Bohm enters MLB free agency after the Philadelphia Phillies opted not to issue him a qualifying offer, opening the door for him to sign elsewhere without draft-pick compensation penalties. Coming off a challenging 2026 season where he posted a 101 OPS+, the corner infielder is drawing interest from small-market teams and contenders alike. Despite below-average defensive metrics, his right-handed bat is expected to secure him a short-term deal in a market starved for hitting.
