Riley Minix Waived by Cavaliers to Open Two-Way Roster Spot

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived 26-year-old wing Riley Minix to create a vacant two-way contract slot for forward Norchad Omier. Minix originally signed a two-way deal with Cleveland in February 2026 but struggled to establish his perimeter shooting during limited opportunities at the NBA level. In 11 games with Cleveland's G League affiliate last season, the lanky forward shot just 20 percent from three-point range before being released.
