Colten Ellis Takes Loss Despite Strong Performance vs. Senators

Colten Ellis delivered a strong performance in net for the Buffalo Sabres, but defensive lapses ultimately led to a 2-1 defeat against the Ottawa Senators. Ellis held Ottawa to two goals, including Michael Amadio’s game-winner with just 3:09 remaining after Buffalo surrendered an odd-man rush. Despite Ellis' solid play, the Sabres were outworked and managed only 25 shots on backup Samuel Ersson, dropping them to a tie for last place in the Atlantic Division with 17 points.
