Chandler Simpson Named Silver Slugger Finalist for Rays

Speedy Rays outfielder Chandler Simpson is a surprising finalist for the Silver Slugger award, making a bid to be just the third player in history with zero home runs to win it. Simpson led the league in batting average (.306) and stolen bases among outfielders (46), significantly outpacing the next closest competitor. Despite a 93 wRC+, his exceptional contact hitting and base-stealing prowess earned him the nomination, highlighting his unique offensive contributions to the pennant-winning 2026 Rays.
