Elian Peña: Mets' No. 5 Prospect Poised for Strong 2027 Season

Elian Peña, ranked No. 5 in the Mets system, is an "excellent prospect" generating excitement for his second full professional season in 2027. Described as having a contact-over-power approach with an advanced plate plan, Peña's athletic profile suggests he's more suited for third base. While not possessing the same raw power and athleticism as fellow prospect Sammy Stafura, Peña is still considered a strong prospect with a differing, yet promising, profile for the Mets' future.
