Drake Batherson Reflects on Unconventional Path, Celebrates Teammate

Ottawa Senators forward Drake Batherson, an established offensive force and one of the league's better-paid players, recently celebrated his former junior teammate Dillon Boucher's unlikely NHL debut at age 29. Batherson, now in his ninth NHL season, also had an unconventional path, being passed over in drafts before the Sens selected him in 2017. He quickly took off during the team's rebuild, becoming a key offensive player.
