Adley Rutschman Traded by Orioles to Rival Red Sox

Adley Rutschman, once the face of the Orioles franchise, has been traded to the Boston Red Sox while on the injured list. Despite a strong start to 2026 with a 116 OPS+ and improved defense, wrist inflammation ended his season prematurely. His Orioles career, marked by highs like an All-Star selection and lows like injuries, ultimately didn't meet immense expectations, with the team failing to win a postseason game during his tenure.
