Philip Rivers Emerges as Front-Runner for NC State Coaching Job

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers has emerged as the primary focus of NC State's coaching search following the firing of Dave Doeren. Rivers has begun sounding out potential staff members and meeting with school officials, though a deal is not yet finalized. While Rivers downplayed the speculation, pointing out nothing is imminent, he remains the top candidate despite former Wolfpack quarterback Russell Wilson also interviewing for the high-profile college football position.
