David Montgomery Ruled Out for Week 9 Clash With Chargers

Houston Texans running back David Montgomery will not play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers as he continues to recover from a groin injury suffered on October 11. Head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed Montgomery's early ruling, noting he has made progress but remains out through at least Nov. 15. In his absence, Woody Marks will continue to handle lead backfield duties for Houston after controlling touches over the past two games.
