Daniel Carlson Released by New Orleans Saints After Struggling

The New Orleans Saints released veteran kicker Daniel Carlson after he made just 8-of-12 field goals in seven games, giving him a career-low 66.7% success rate. All four of Carlson's misses came on attempts of at least 50 yards, including a crucial 52-yard miss during a Week 7 loss to Pittsburgh and another missed 52-yard attempt in a 16-10 loss to the Steelers.
