Jared Goff Overcomes Heavy Blitzing in Detroit Lions Victory Over Vikings

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff led his team to a signature Week 8 victory over the Minnesota Vikings despite facing blitzes on 89.7% of dropbacks. Goff tied an NFL record with 17 completions against the blitz, finishing 18 of 25 for 176 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Supported by Jahmyr Gibbs' 153 rushing yards, Goff's calm game management bolstered his impressive season totals of 1,964 passing yards and 15 passing touchdowns.
