John Tavares Upgraded to Day-to-Day, Resumes Skating
John Tavares has been upgraded to day-to-day after resuming skating on Tuesday. The 36-year-old center took part in his first team skate since suffering a lower-body injury against Buffalo on Oct. 15, wearing a red non-contact sweater. While not quite ready to return, his activation from injured reserve indicates his comeback is near, potentially for Saturday's game against the Canadiens. He has two goals and seven points in seven games.
