Jacob Webb Re-Signs with Chicago Cubs on One-Year Contract

Relief pitcher Jacob Webb has agreed to a one-year major league contract with the Chicago Cubs, which includes a club option for the 2028 season. The right-hander established himself as a reliable bullpen arm for Chicago during the 2026 campaign, recording a 3.36 ERA over 68 appearances. The move bolsters the Cubs' bullpen depth alongside recent waiver acquisition Eric Orze.
