Tigers Sign Pitcher Jacob Waguespack to One-Year, $1.3 Million Deal

The Detroit Tigers signed right-handed pitcher Jacob Waguespack to a guaranteed one-year, $1.3 million contract for 2027 that includes an additional $200,000 in potential performance bonuses. The 32-year-old posted a 2.49 ERA for Detroit in 2026, offering inexpensive depth for the club's pitching staff. To clear space on the 40-man roster, Detroit placed Bailey Horn and Sawyer Gipson-Long on unconditional release waivers.
