Paxton Schultz Claimed Off Waivers by Cincinnati Reds

Right-handed pitcher Paxton Schultz was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds from the Washington Nationals. Schultz, a former 14th-round draft pick, logged 57.0 major-league innings in 2026 after being claimed from Toronto earlier in the year. Possessing minor-league options, Schultz gives Cincinnati flexible depth for their bullpen as the team reorganizes its 40-man roster for the 2027 season.
