Cole Young Wins First Career Gold Glove Award at Second Base for Mariners
Seattle Mariners second baseman Cole Young won his first-ever Rawlings Gold Glove Award, becoming just the third second baseman in franchise history to receive the honor and the first since 2004. Playing in 160 games, Young led all American League second basemen with 16 Defensive Runs Saved and posted a .990 fielding percentage. His exceptional footwork, conditioning, and range enabled him to solidify a shaky Mariners infield defense throughout the season.
