Brock Nelson Scores, Returns After Taking Shot Off Helmet in Victory

Brock Nelson scored a goal before briefly exiting after taking a shot off his helmet during the Colorado Avalanche's 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Saturday. Nelson capped a three-goal second-period surge to give Colorado a 4-0 lead. Shortly after, he was struck on the side of his helmet by a Cale Makar shot and skated to the locker room, but he successfully returned to action in the third period to complete the victory.
