Jared Verse Struggles in Cleveland Prompt Trade Deadline Speculation

Cleveland Browns defensive end Jared Verse, acquired in the Myles Garrett blockbuster, has struggled to produce in DC Mike Rutenberg's 4-3 scheme. Through seven starts, the 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year has recorded 17 tackles, four tackles for loss, and zero sacks while seeing his pressure rate plummet to 6.6%. With Verse set for a potential $27.9 million fifth-year option down the line, speculation mounts on whether Cleveland could trade him before Nov. 10.
