Nick Martinez Projected for $48M Contract in Free Agency

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Nick Martinez is heading into free agency after the 2026 season, with initial projections pointing toward a two-year, $48 million contract. The 36-year-old veteran represents a significant decision for Tampa Bay's front office as they evaluate starting rotation depth. Although mutual interest in a reunion exists, the Rays are weighing whether to commit to a major deal for the aging right-hander.
