Jake Cronenworth Receives D- Grade After Struggling in 2026 Season

Jake Cronenworth earned a D- grade for his 2026 performance with the San Diego Padres following a tough season plagued by anemic offensive output. The infielder posted a .225 batting average and a .629 OPS over the campaign. Part of his struggles stemmed from a concussion early in the year that landed him on the IL, though he hit just .144 prior to the injury. Defensively, Cronenworth recorded a -3 Fielding Run Value and -5 Outs Above Average, though his utility versatility remains valuable.
