Michael Arroyo Undergoes Right Elbow Surgery, Targets April Return
Seattle Mariners outfielder Michael Arroyo underwent right elbow surgery to clean up cartilage and brace a chronic UCL injury. The team expects Arroyo to be ready for game action by next April, though it remains unclear if he will initially be limited to designated hitter duties. Arroyo made his major-league debut in September, hitting .371 (13-for-35) with one home run, two stolen bases, and a 5:6 BB:K ratio.
