Samuel Ersson Takes Overtime Loss in Relief Effort Against Kings

Samuel Ersson stopped 20 of 22 shots after entering in relief of Jonas Johansson during the second period of Ottawa's 6-5 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday. Ersson helped stabilize the Senators as they completed a four-goal third-period rally to force extra time, but he ultimately surrendered Quinton Byfield's game-winning snap shot in overtime. Ottawa next travels to face San Jose on Saturday.
