Patrick Kane Returns to Detroit as Blackhawks Fall to Red Wings

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane faced his former team for the first time since returning to Chicago on a two-year, $16 million contract, as the Blackhawks fell 4-1 to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. Kane took a high-sticking penalty in the third period that led directly to Lucas Raymond's game-winning power-play goal. Kane played in Detroit from December 2023 through the end of last season.
